Autumn light

When the last bright leaves are gone,

as autumn winds begin to blow,

Last color lights the meadows edge,

where Tamarack and wheat grass grow.

    1. Fall, especially in the Northeast hills of New England, has a wistful and melancholy air. This is especially true for those of us who are older and see the “death of another year” in the change from warmth and growth; to wilting chrysanthemums, frost touched and dying. Remembering Falls end as winters herald. As always thank you for reading and commenting.
